What is Freeze Drying?

How to Store and Use

  • Rehydrate before feeding by mixing an equal or greater amount of warm water with the freeze-dried food.
  • Consume within 45 days of opening.
  • Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed.

Feeding Guide: When transitioning from raw to freeze-dried, start with 1/3 the raw food amount (pre-rehydration). For example, a 50 lb dog fed at 3% body weight would consume 1.5 lbs of raw or up to 8 oz of freeze-dried without water.

What else you need to know?

Packaging & Serving

Raw orders are shipped frozen in a 1.5-inch thick insulated cooler. When your order arrives, freeze any items you won’t be using right away.

If some products arrive partially thawed, don’t worry – it’s safe to thaw and refreeze pet food. When it’s time to feed, simply take the package out of the freezer 24 hours in advance, thaw, and serve!

Freeze-dried items ship separately and are shelf-stable. Store them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. When feeding, mix the freeze-dried food with 2-3 times the amount of warm water, then fold or reseal the bag.

Shipping Schedule

MLB will ship your fresh, frozen dog food on Mondays via the UPS or Fedex. Freeze dry orders will ship separate and within 2 business days of purchase.

Raw orders must be placed before 10am (CST) on Monday to be shipped that Monday. Freeze dry orders will ship Monday-Friday

Any raw orders received after 10am (CST) on a Monday will ship the following Monday.

We take the guess work out of shipping for you by offering auto-delivery subscriptions. Just sign up once, and we'll deliver your order on the schedule you choose.

Holiday Shipping

If a holiday lands any time during the week, we will still plan shipping that week. Shipments may either leave on Tuesday as a result of the holiday being Monday, or take an extra day to arrive if shipped on a Monday and the holiday is midweek (July 4th).

Holidays include: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day
